A backyard ADU built for light — exposed beams, white oak, woven pendants, and a kitchen that lives far larger than its footprint.
A detached accessory dwelling in Manhattan Beach, opened all the way to the rafters and finished in a calm, coastal palette. Exposed beams and skylights pull daylight deep into the plan, and a vaulted ceiling makes a compact footprint feel generous.
White oak, woven rattan pendants, and warm wood seating soften an all-white kitchen. Open shelving and a long island keep a single room working hard — cooking, gathering, and living in one light-filled volume.
